Current Pro Wrestling thoughts

WWE and the Wrestlemaina season

I've been a profisenal wrestling fan off and on my entire life. I started watching WWE around 2006/2007. The earliest match I can remeber is a fatal four-way for the Intercontinal Championchip. Jeffy Hardy retained. This is just a small way of saying that I have been into the medium for along time. So why is it that I couldn't give a single fuck about Wrestlemaina coming up in less than a month? My lifelong best friend, cousin, and I watched the Royal Rumble togther because it's all of our favorite event of the year. We awere all in agreement that the whole event was really bad. AJ Styles deserverd a much better retirement match, both the mens and womens rumbles were underwheling and Saudi Arbia events are always terrible for a number of reasons. I compelety skipped the Elemination Chamber and from the sounds of it I missed nothing. I never watch Raw, Smackdown or NXT because the weekly shows haven't been worthwile in years. For what should be the best time of ywear to be a wrestling fan is quickly become the most pointless. Between the bad booking, meaningless story lines, wasted roster, and unaplogtic ticket and merch prices TKO has forced on all of us it has quickly become aparnt why I have completyly checkd out of this company that once ment so much to me. Triple H coming in to take over and finally oust Vince from the company shoulve saved this product from its self and for while it did. Wrestlemaina 41 was one of the best in recent memory and NXT under the man's reign was some of the best programing the company had ever seen. But over the last 24 motnhs alot has gone wrong. With how bad John Cena's retirement tour went, lackluster PLEs, and all around shittyness it has become clear to me the H has completly given up and just knows he can steal money from fans no matter what dogshit the company shits out of its big fat ass.

AEW general thoughts

AEW on the other hand has been firing on all cylnders latley. I won't sit here and pretend this company is perfect because no company is, but goddam it's nice to have a legtime alternitive to take on the big guys. As I write this Revoltuion is in 19 hours. MJF and "Hangman" Adam Page in a Texas deathmatch. Admintly MJf's chartatrer has gotten a little stale latley and I don't know if he really even needs to be champ right now. Honestly I thnink a face turn would do MJF some him some good. Moxley and Takeashita are in 1 on 1 action and this is one match I have high hopes for. A face Death Riders is not somethng that I thought would ever be interesting but work against The Don Callis Family has really help make tha transtion work well. Brody King vs Serve Strickland seems slapped together imo but I've been behind Brody as a big star for while. I'm huge into hardcore and having the lead singer of a SXE band be this huge star seems vaildting for the whole scene. I also have high exspections for Bandido vs Andrade just becuase I am a sucker for flippy shit. The other match I am most excited for is the battle royal. Just a match I've alway enjoyed.
